1. "Precision for the barista."

The biggest selling proposition isn't simply power—it's control.

The barista can monitor and adjust extraction parameters rather than relying on a basic preset espresso program.

2. Independent brew boilers

Independent coffee boilers help provide stable brewing conditions and allow greater control over individual groups.

3. Real-time shot information

The live pressure/flow information gives the barista immediate feedback about what's happening during extraction.

This is a particularly strong sales point for specialty coffee operators.

4. Advanced temperature control

PID-controlled brewing and active group temperature management allow the machine to be configured for different coffee profiles.

5. Powerful steam

The dedicated steam system is designed for demanding milk-drink service, making the Tempesta appropriate for cafés producing large numbers of cappuccinos, lattes, and other milk beverages.

6. Traditional espresso experience + modern technology

This is an important distinction.

The Tempesta doesn't try to replace the barista. Instead, technology gives the barista more information and control while retaining traditional portafilter preparation.

7. Professional workflow

LED work lighting, ergonomic steam controls, adjustable tray height, programmable doses, and energy-management functions are designed around commercial service.

☕ Specialty coffee shops

Probably the most natural customer. The independent boilers, PID control, extraction monitoring, and programmable recipes are particularly useful for shops that change coffees and carefully develop espresso recipes.

🏆 Competition-oriented baristas

The machine's detailed extraction information and temperature/pressure control are useful for baristas who want to analyze and refine shots.

🏨 High-end hotels

Hotels with serious coffee programs can use the Tempesta for breakfast service, lobby cafés, restaurants, and specialty coffee bars.

🍽️ Upscale restaurants

A restaurant that wants restaurant-quality espresso and cappuccino service can benefit from the machine's strong steam capacity and professional workflow.

☕ High-volume cafés

The 2- and 3-group configurations provide substantially more simultaneous brewing capacity than a compact single-group machine.

🎓 Coffee training centers

The ability to monitor extraction parameters makes it useful as an educational tool for teaching espresso preparation.

The Tempesta is a commercial plumbed-in espresso machine, so installation conditions are considerably more demanding than for a small countertop automatic machine.

It should be installed on a strong, stable, level counter with appropriate electrical service, water supply, filtration/softening, drainage, and adequate clearance.

Astoria installation documentation emphasizes using the correct electrical supply and filtered water, and commercial installation should be performed according to the machine's specific installation requirements.

Water quality is extremely important

For a machine with multiple boilers, pumps, valves, and temperature-control components, poor water quality can lead to scale and premature component wear.

I would consider a proper commercial water filtration/softening system essential, particularly in areas with hard water.

One U.S. dealer specifically warns that lack of soft-water filtration can affect warranty coverage for its Tempesta installation package.
