1. Extremely compact footprint

The S-Lite measures only 320 mm wide × 512 mm deep × 535 mm high, making it particularly useful where counter space is limited. The integrated hopper is built into the machine's compact body.

2. Easy touchscreen operation

The 10.1-inch touchscreen provides an intuitive interface and can offer up to 24 drink selections. The interface can also be customized with elements such as logos, screensavers, loading screens, and icons.

3. Plug-and-play operation

One of the strongest selling points is that the S-Lite can operate from an internal water tank rather than requiring a permanent water connection.

There are 2 L and 8 L tank configurations, and a water-supply connection kit is available when continuous water supply is preferred.

4. Commercial performance in a small machine

La Cimbali's specifications recommend the S-Lite for up to approximately 80 cups per day, with rated production of up to 80 espresso cups/hour.

That makes it better suited to low-to-moderate volume applications rather than a high-volume coffee shop.

5. Automatic milk preparation

The S-Lite uses a Venturi milk system, allowing it to automatically prepare milk-based beverages such as cappuccinos. The milk system also has an automatic washing cycle.

6. Automatic cleaning

This is one of the most important selling points.

The machine incorporates La Cimbali's Automatic Washing System (AWS), reducing the amount of manual cleaning required and helping maintain the coffee and milk circuits.

7. Connectivity

Built-in Wi-Fi and USB allow software updates and recipe management, while La Cimbali also supports remote-management capabilities through its connected ecosystem.

The S-Lite is particularly suited to small and medium-volume locations where space, simplicity, and consistent drinks are important.

Ideal customers include:

•
🏢 Small offices and corporate break rooms

•
  🏨 Hotels and guest areas

•
  🏪 Small retail businesses

•
🥐 Bakeries and cafés with limited counter space

•
  🍽️ Restaurants

•
  🏥 Healthcare and professional offices

•
  🏫 Schools and other institutions

•
  🤝 Co-working spaces

•
  🛍️ Convenience/retail environments

La Cimbali specifically positions the S-Lite for small businesses and office environments, while its London Coffee Festival material identifies it for office coffee service.

Daily care

Even though the S-Lite has automatic cleaning, the operator should still:

• Empty and clean the grounds/dregs container

• Empty and rinse the drip tray

• Keep the coffee outlet clean

• Check the milk system

• Refill the water tank when necessary

• Keep the hopper and surrounding areas clean

• Run the machine's automatic cleaning cycles as prompted

The automatic system reduces labor; it does not eliminate operator maintenance.

Coffee-system cleaning

The installation/maintenance documentation specifies an automatic coffee-circuit cleaning cycle using a cleaning tablet, with the maintenance documentation specifying one tablet per day.

Milk-system cleaning

The milk circuit requires dedicated cleaning. The maintenance documentation specifies daily milk-circuit cleaning using the appropriate cleaning product.

This is particularly important because milk residue can accumulate quickly and affect hygiene and milk performance.

Descaling

Water quality is an important consideration.

The S-Lite maintenance documentation specifies a mandatory monthly descaling procedure regardless of whether the machine uses the water tank or a water supply.

The same documentation identifies the appropriate La Cimbali descaling product for the procedure.

Water filtration

If the machine is being used regularly, especially with hard water, appropriate water treatment/filtering should be considered. The S-Lite documentation lists an AquaAroma filter replacement interval of approximately every 150 L of water.

Operating environment

For best results, the machine should be:

• Installed on a stable, level counter

• Kept away from excessive heat and direct water exposure

• Given adequate ventilation/clearance according to the installation instructions

• Supplied with the correct electrical voltage

• Used with suitable-quality water

• Serviced by qualified technicians when internal/service-level work is required
