Daily Maintenance

For a machine in active commercial use:

• Backflush the group with an appropriate espresso-machine cleaner.

• Rinse the group and portafilter after service.

• Purge and wipe the steam wand after every milk steaming session.

• Clean the portafilter baskets and shower screen.

• Empty and clean the drip tray.

• Wipe down the exterior and control panel.

The Casadio maintenance documentation includes dedicated procedures for cleaning the coffee circuit, groups, boiler and exterior surfaces.

Weekly Maintenance

• Deep-clean the portafilters and baskets.

• Inspect the group gasket and shower screen.

• Perform a more thorough backflush.

• Check the steam wand tip for milk buildup.

• Inspect hoses and connections for signs of leakage.

Preventive Maintenance

Water quality is especially important for commercial espresso equipment. A suitable water filtration/softening system should be used where local water hardness warrants it. Scale buildup can affect the boiler, heating system, valves and water passages.

A qualified technician should periodically inspect and service components such as:

• Boiler

• Pump

• Heating element

• Pressure/temperature controls

• Group valve

• Solenoid valves

• Gaskets and seals

• Water lines and fittings

• Voltage: 110 V

• Frequency: 50–60 Hz
• Grounding: required

• Water connection: 3/8"

• Water supply pressure: approximately 1–4 bar

• Drain: minimum 50 mm drain connection

For installation, you should have:

1. A suitable electrical supply installed by a qualified electrician.

2. Proper electrical grounding.

3. Appropriate water filtration/softening.

4. A suitable water connection and shutoff valve.

5. A suitable drain connection.

6. Adequate counter space and ventilation around the machine.
